Throwing it back to one of my favorite Halloween candies with these "healthified" Reese's Cups! They're gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar free, without sacrificing the indulgent and nostalgic taste of a true Reese's cup that I'm sure many of us crave this time of year. Instead of raiding your kids' Halloween candy, make these to have on hand instead, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Oh... and they are also only 5 INGREDIENTS!
Details below. 🎃
5-Ingredient "Healthified" Reese’s cups:
1/2-3/4 cups of dark chocolate chips (look for refined sugar-free like Hu Kitchen or Lily's)
1 tsp coconut oil
1 Tbsp Maple syrup
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1 Tbsp coconut flour
Optional: Sea salt flakes on top
Instructions:
1.) Place 9 paper cupcake liners in large cupcake pan (could use minis too!)
2.) Add coconut oil and chocolate chips to saucepan on low heat stirring continuously until melted (careful not to burn!)
3.) Fill the bottom of each cupcake liner with chocolate, and place in freezer for 5-10 minutes
4.) In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, peanut butter, and coconut flour.
6.) Remove the cupcake pan from freezer and add the peanut butter mixture in a layer on top of the chocolate
7.) Gently pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layers, freeze again for 15-20 minutes and Enjoy!
